Emily J. Pierce

Emily Pierce joined Great Lakes Family Probate & Estates as an Associate Attorney in 2026. She brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to her work and is committed to guiding individuals and families with clarity and compassion during life's most significant transitions.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a Dean's Merit Scholarship recipient. While in law school, she served as a Student Attorney in the Disability Rights Law Clinic, advocating for individuals in matters involving disability including employment rights and educational access. She also served as Program Director for the Family Law Society, reflecting her strong interest in legal issues affecting families.

Before joining GLFPE, Emily gained hands-on experience with the Michigan Advocacy Program's Family Law Project and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, where she developed strong research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, graduating as a four-time University Honors student. Her background in psychology enhances her ability to understand the personal dynamics that often arise in estate planning, probate, and trust matters.

Emily is dedicated to providing steady guidance, practical solutions, and genuine support to every client she serves.
